Zamil Industrial’s lineage is easily traced directly to Zamil Group
Holding Company, a much larger and well established business family, formerly known as A.H. Al Zamil
Group of Companies and H.A. Al Zamil & Brothers Company.
Zamil Group is an 85 year
old Saudi family owned global company with diversified industrial operations and capabilities,
commercial interests and alliances with leading international organizations. The Group offers wide
range solutions through its vast manufacturing facilities network and international presence in over
60 countries. Founded was the 1920s by late Sheikh Abdullah Al Hamad Al Zamil (1897-1961) as a
modest trading and real estate business. Zamil Brothers expanded and grew the business as they took
over in the 1970s and transformed it into a world class conglomerate.
Zamil Group operations cover numerous sectors from building products and
components to paints, plastics, chemicals and petrochemicals, from shipbuilding to ship repair, port
management and operations, from general construction to offshore marine support services.
Zamil Group employs over 12,000 persons across its international operations in

|
| 1974 |
Formation of Arabian Refrigeration Industries (ARI). With
headquarters and factory at Dammam. ARI started its operations with production of room air
conditioners under the license and supervision of Friedrich of USA. Initial production capacity was
a humble 15 units per day. |
| 1978 |
A separate division - Unitary & Applied Products, commenced
production of central air conditioners. ARI started selling air conditioners under its own brand
name - Classic. Production capacity increased to 100 room air conditioners units per day. |
| 1981 |
Production started for mini-split air conditioners. |
| 1982 |
The floor space was doubled from 50,000 to 100,000 square meters
and production capacity increased to 500 units per day. |
| 1986 |
A test laboratory established in association with Intertek Testing Services. |
| 1991 |
Zamil Air Conditioners became the first manufacturer of air
conditioners in Saudi Arabia to attain Saudi
Arabia’s Standard Organization (SASO) certificate for room air conditioners. |
| 1992 |
New plant and machinery were installed and production capacity
rose to 1,000 units per day. Manufacturing initiated under Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
agreements. |

Zamil Air Conditioners received the ISO 9002 certificate. It was followed in the same year with
CE certificate of the
Council of European Community.
The export operations were consolidated and redefined with the formation of a separate
business entity - Cooline Products Ltd. |

Received the USA Underwriters Laboratory (UL) certificate.
A joint venture – Middle East Air conditioners (MEAC), formed with GE Appliances,

| 1976 |
A. H. Al Zamil Group establishes a joint venture with Soule
Steel Buildings of the USA to manufacture Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) in Saudi Arabia.

| 1977 |
Zamil Soule starts production and becomes the first Saudi company
to manufacture PEB's.
|
| 1981 |
The company becomes fully owned by A.H. Al-Zamil Group after Soule
sells its shares. The name is changed to Zamil Steel Buildings Co. Ltd. "Zamil
Steel".

Zamil Steel diversifies into heavy structural works and
establishes its Structural Steel Business unit (SSBU).

After entering into a technical collaboration with SAE of Italy,
Zamil Steel establishes its Towers & Galvanizing (T&G) Business Unit to produce galvanized
steel lattice towers.

Zamil Steel adopts the more durable Zincalume coated steel to be
used for all standard roof & wall panels.

Zamil Steel supplies its first export job to South East Asia in
Malaysia.

First Zamil Steel area offices in the GCC - outside Saudi &

Erection Coordinators & Sales Support Engineers are assigned to

drops to 16 weeks.

Zamil Steel increases export to 75% of production, becoming the
largest PEB exporter in the world.
The first PEB engineering company abroad is established in Chennai,
India. Number of engineers at Zamil Steel Engineering India eventually reached 100.
The PEB division receives its ISO 9001 certification.

The ground breaking ceremony for Egypt and Vietnam factories take
place.

The two new factories in Egypt and Vietnam are commissioned and
start operating.
Zamil Steel becomes the 5 th largest PEB manufacturer in the world
with a production capacity of 300,000 m 2 per month in all its three factories.
Zamil Steel becomes a unit of Zamil Industrial after merging with
its sister companies, Zamil Air Conditioners and Zamil Glass.
Zamil Industrial becomes a closed joint stock company with 40% of
the shares owned by individual and institutional investors from the GCC.

vessels at its new factory in Dammam's 2nd Industrial City, Saudi Arabia.

Work in progress of PEB factories in Pune (India) & Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).
The global production capacity of all PEB factories has expanded to 240,000 MT
(7,000,000 m2), a 12 fold increase in 16 years.
SSD production capacity increased to 72,000 MT per annum.
ZS-Saudi introduces large span trusses for curved or pitched roofs, having spans
over 80 meters. and up to 120 meters or more.
The first shipment from ZS-Vietnam to Japan, a manufacturing plant for IKEGAI in
Yokohama.

| Zamil Steel officially inaugurates Ras Al-Khaimah factory and
starts its operations in the UAE. |
| The year 2007 marks the 30th anniversary of Zamil Steel. Zamil

Zamil Steel officially inaugurated its second factory in Ho Chi
Minh City, Vietnam, at the Amata Industrial Park in southern Dong Nai province on Wednesday 23 April
